Floyd A. Smith

Founder & Executive Director – Music Therapy for Veterans

Musician | Advocate | Philanthropist | Fundraiser

Floyd is a celebrated baritone bass and former member of the six-time Grammy Award-winning group The 5th Dimension. In 2011, after visiting a Veterans Administration Hospital and witnessing the emotional toll on those who served, he was moved to act. His thought that day— “Veterans should receive the very best healthcare services available”-became the driving force behind Music Therapy for Veterans.

Blending his musical background with a passion for healing, Floyd created a nonprofit that hosts immersive music and wellness events featuring healing frequencies, relaxation experiences, and self-care offerings. The organization does provide limited clinical therapy directly, and a portion of proceeds also supports certified music therapy programs for veterans dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Suicide prevention related conditions.
