Löan T. Shillinger is the founder of Shillinger Law, specializing in estate planning, trust administration, and probate law in San Diego, California; launching her practice in 2009 and running it successfully for over 15 years. Löan is dedicated to changing perceptions of estate planning from “planning for end-of-life” to “planning for today.” She actively engages with the San Diego community through speaking engagements at various organizations, including churches and educational seminars. Löan is the President of the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association and the President of the Estate Planning Counsel of San Diego (EPCSD). She is an active member of the Probate Attorneys of San Diego (PASD), the Board of Governance for the National Bar Association as the Affiliate President, and the Caregiver Coalition of San Diego. She earned her Juris Doctor from the California Western School of Law and has clerked for judges in the Southern District of California and Hawaii, as well as the Supreme Court of Micronesia.
